Angie has been in the Hydrant Valve Division of Water Distribution for 3 years, and has been working in the industry for 10 years.

What does your job entail?

I am responsible for the preventative maintenance of fire hydrants, line valves and services, as well as customer service.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy the challenge of a non-working hydrant. It is gratifying to have it back in service without having to replace the hydrant and cause unnecessary expenses.

What do you like most about the industry?

This is a great industry to work in as it offers a variety of jobs, as well as training to give you the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform in any field.

What attracted you to a career in Parks and Public Works?

I liked that a career with Parks and Public Works would provide me with a stable work environment, and countless growth opportunities.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in Parks and Public Works?

I would tell anyone considering working in this area that it is a great job, with unlimited learning in the class and in the field.

What are your career goals?

I would like to be in a supervisory role, sharing the knowledge I have gained through the years.
