Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is an annual event that takes place each year during the first full week of May. This national event is coordinated by Public Safety Canada, in close collaboration with the provinces and territories and partners.

The North American Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH Week) is an annual event where employers, workers, and all partners in occupational health and safety focus on preventing injury and illness in the workplace.

Your workplace can take part by:

• Setting new goals for workplace health and safety
• Creating awareness of these goals within and outside your organization
• Making a plan to accomplish these goals

Move for Health Day is an international event created in 2002 by the World Health Organization to promote physical activity.  The BCRPA, with support from Healthy Families BC, leads the province in promoting this global event and the benefits of healthy, active living.

If your community or workplace would like to create a physical activity challenge or activity that engages people in the celebration of being active, the BCRPA has tools and resources that can help you!

Experience the Fraser is a unique vision to connect communities, parks, natural features, historic and cultural sites and other points of interest along the Lower Fraser River by means of 550 kilometres of trails and via the river itself. Today’s funding will help Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley Regional District open new parkland, enhance riverfront access and park amenities along the river, and continue to build the Canyon to Coast Trail.

The partnership between the Province and the two regional districts demonstrates the ongoing commitment to build the Experience the Fraser vision and showcase the Lower Fraser River as a premier recreation, heritage and tourism destination.

We invite you to use these resources and pass them along to others.
