What are some of the responsibilities of a Sewer and Wastewater Worker?
- Install sewer and waster water systems
- Maintain sewer and waste water systems
- Implement emergency procedures for sewer systems
- Inspect sewer and waste water systems
- Record inspection data
- Inspect meters, gauges, pumps, and control panels
- Perform lab duties for water/wastewater facilities
- Operate and maintain pumps, control panels, chlorinators, and chemical feed pumps
- Inspect lift stations
- Monitors and repair plant equipment
- Locate and repair sewer mains
- Maintain fire hydrants, wellhouse structures and water towers
- Run quality control tests for lab certification
- Read and maintain electrical and water meters
- Perform grounds maintenance
